My previous post was about Fruits and vegetables that need not be stored in the Refrigerator. Here, I’m going to discuss in detail about the Daily Staples that shouldn’t be stored in the Refrigerator.
Bread Bread is a dry item and to be consumed within the use-by date. By storing the chiller, the shelf life is not going to extend, but, it will become drier or sometimes absorb moisture to form moulds on them.
Herbs It’s instinct to stuff the fresh herbs, you just bought from the grocery, right onto the fridge. But, herbs wilt faster in the refrigerator. You could place them in a water-filled glass jar on your kitchen counter to keep it fresh and crisp.
3. Ketchup, Sauces, and Salad dressing
These will be fine when stored out, because of the Vinegar.
4. Oils and Ghee
Oils and Ghee are safe to store at room temperature. If the oil has a lower saturated- fat content, such as safflower or sunflower, it will benefit from being kept cool, so store it in a dark cabinet or the fridge door. The only oils that you must refrigerate are nut-based.
5. Coffee Coffee fares best in an airtight container. Refrigeration condenses coffee and reduces the flavour.
6. Honey Refrigeration will cause the luscious honey to harden. That’s why you should be storing it at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.
7. Jam Due to the high amount of sugar as preservatives in jams and jellies, it is acceptable to store without refrigeration, even after opening.
9. Nut and dried Fruits
